However, the books about this topic are still hard to find. MSDN is almost the sole resource for the people working in this field.
The author has profound knowledge about PC audio technologies and history, also a lot of hands-on experience in windows audio driver stack. This book covers the audio basic knowledge, HD audio architecture, both audio HW and SW implementation, and windows audio stack in both XP and Vista (Vista has dramatically re-shaped the audio stack).
