Dictionnaire Electronique du Français (French Edition) ReviewFirst, the positives. This dictionary (note that it is French-French, so useful mainly to native speakers and to advanced readers) has many more entries than most other French dictionaries available for Kindle. You are much more likely to find the word you want here than in its competitors. It works fine as the Kindle default dictionary. It is a significant advance on previous offerings. It is reasonably priced.But it is slow. When I move a cursor to a word it often hovers there for a good few moments before bringing up the definition. And (like its predecessors) it gives meanings only on the base forms of words - singular nouns and infinitive verbs. This means that if you look up a noun in the plural or an inflected form of a verb the dictionary will tell you that it is the plural form, or an inflected form of the word, which forces the user then to look back through the dictionary to find the root form and so the meaning. This is annoying and slow. Other dictionaries do not have this problem and I hope that it can be solved in future editions.
