Of course not all the words will be "new" to most people, but sometimes there are new ways of using them, and always (at least for my old brain) it is good to reacquaint myself with the precise definition(s) of a word. And there actually are a surprising number of words that I can't recall ever seeing before (maybe one every ten days or so? The word origins on the back of each day are generally very interesting. One more thing - why only 320 some pages? Because the weekends (Sat & Sun) are compressed onto one page, even though two different words are presented.
