The New Oxford Annotated Bible with Apocrypha: New Revised Standard Version, College Edition ReviewI really appreciated the critical, contextual scholarship displayed in these translations. I also enjoyed Oxford's inclusive tendencies--they drew from more than the typical apocryphal 'canon' toward thinks like 2 Esdras and 4 Maccabees. Frankly, the format of this collection is very dull after reading something like NIV's Archaeological Study Bible. No pictures, only a few maps. Overall, this is a very excellent presentation of the Apocrypha.The New Oxford Annotated Bible with Apocrypha: New Revised Standard Version, College Edition Overview
