Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, 21st Edition (Thumb Index Version) ReviewAs a nursing student, I thought this book would be a great help...it isn't. The few basic definitions I've needed so far aren't listed. I've had to use Wikipedia, which is really sad when I have a "medical dictionary" sitting in front of me. I really wish I'd gone with the Mosby's. It might be helpful in advanced settings, but not educational. Also, the print is small and difficult to read...even for a person with normal vision. In past required textbooks, I have not found Burns and Grove very readable. However, this book is an exception to my experience with them. It is written in an understandable manner with ample examples that enhance clarification.
