Deviant Definitions ReviewI received this book from the author at a convention -- we exchanged books. I finally had time to read it and was looking forward to it. I was deeply disappointed. Unlike other glossaries and dictionaries that often appear in SM how-to books, this was has several obvious errors. For example, some of the words under "prefixes" are not prefixes at all and some of the definitions are just wrong. Other entries seem more like jokes as "LOL" is placed after them -- some a book that is supposed to help us communicate do that? I don't think so. Finally there is only a short list of consulted works and these do not match with the works mentioned in the introduction -- for example where is the DSM-IV and it's supplements? The one interesting and potentially useful part of the book is a look at the online acronyms. I certainly hope no one takes this book though and decides they can use nothing but these because that would really harm communication.Deviant Definitions OverviewWant to learn more information about Deviant Definitions?
